Da Cubs.........

I would like to hear from the Mogul People if they are going to do anything about the Cubs,,,,, er Chi(N).....

Not only do they not behave like their real life counterpart, they do not behave like any other Tier 2 team. They behave much more like a tier 4 or tier 5 team - as far as the fan base is is concerned.

A great deal of discussion has gone on about them, and I really think that something is fundamentally wrong with them.

Is anything going to be done, or are they just going to languish.....

Remeber, Chicago is a pretty big town........

Three teams need to be fixed. CHN, DET, and TB are really messed up. CHN is ranked 30th in mogul points in both All-Star Mogul and NABL, on research I did previously they ranked 26th on the revenue list(based on 3 different leagues totalling 19 seasons worth of playing). DET was in the tier 5 revenue area and TB was in the tier 3 revenue. What should be done?

Make it so CHN makes 475-550 points in revenue each season, up their fan loyalty so that it is similar to COL.

After that either switch DET and TB in the tier ranking, or have them able to earn revenue comparable to their current tier ranking(DET is ranked too high and TB is ranked too low).

I hope this gets fixed because I know I'd never play CHN or DET because they are destined to show poorly on the mogul ranking. TB is probably the best team to take for mogul points.

Clay is currently working on fixing Chicago (N)'s revenue problem. We do not have an estimated completion date at this time, but we will keep you posted.

I had sent in a recommendation to them to boost the fan base to 20% since the Cubs have a much better following than the White Sox. At about 20% they would average around 425 poitns in revenue per season.

Takaplan what about DET and TB, they are in the wrong tier ranking or aren't making the proper revenue from my research.

Detroit is in the wrong tier and TB I think should be a tier 5 team since they have the second lowest attendance in baseball.


For Detroit I would recomment pulling up the fan base a bit also sincee they do have a new stadium which should generate a bit of itnerest.

TB is just in the wrong tier and really is a sad franchise.

It is very difficult to make implimentations in Baseball Mogul. I mean Detroit has a poor fan base thats where their poor revenue stems from. Possibly a little boost in fan income would be good to generate more PPV revenue?

Tampa Bay is BY FAR the easier team to play with...can get revenue a budget around 300...I will check with James on those two teams.

One of the reasons TB is able to generate as much revenue as it does is that it plays top tier teams all the time. Two ones and two threes? More fans to the park = more pnts to play with.

Then again, I'm not sure if visitor attendance goes by tiers, current standings, superstars or a various combination of the above.

Hmmmmm... what if we had a system like football (euro style)? After three years check the winning percentage of the teams in the tiers. If they're at the top of their tier in wins bump them up to the next tier and drop the lowest winning percentage from that tier.

FYI... this is definitely an interesting issue... I am now 160 and 86 over the last two seasons and I am drawing less then 21k per game in beta 41... my payroll is less then 350 and I still don't even have enough money to keep my players healthy!
