Hey,
I've just now taken over as the new Commissioner of League Sharkx 2003
http://www-2.sportsmogul.com/bb/lea...viewleague=1405 . We're a 30-a day league, we've just started the 2009 season, BUT you're still in time for some of the free agency. We have 21 dedicated members, But we're hoping that a few of you might decide to take over the remaining nine! Here are the teams still available and just waiting for the right GM to turn them into instant contenders:
Baltimore - low cash, but an extremely low payroll (lowest in the league with alot of young prospects who are ready to start in the majors
Chicago (AL) - the best team in the American League right now. Chicago has an average 99-63 record and has never finished lower than 1st in it's division with two American League Championships. This team is a constant contender and built to win and last.
Cincinnati - a mid-sized payroll with alot of cash available. This team fell just short of the NL wildcard spot and is a serious contender.
Milwaukee - average sized payroll and cash available. Team needs some work, mainly on the pitching side. Any GM who thinks they're elite should come and test their skills.
Minnesota - Taken
New York (AL) - Taken
Pittsburg - Low payroll and a good amount of spare cash. Great players on both the pitching staff and on offense just missing a GM who can add the missing piece to make this team a contender. Have improved to 90+ wins the last tqwo seasons!
San Deigo - payroll is a bit high but not as high as other teams in the league. Team has a great pitching staff which finished with one of the top 5 ERA's in the league. Only downfall is that it needs work on offense to give pitchers support.
Texas - extremely low payroll for such a big market team. Has a lot of spare cash and great players. Ranked 9th out of 30 teams and all it needs is another pitcher.
