BOTTOM OF THE EIGHTH
Carlos Mendoza pinch hit for Stan Belinda.
Carlos Mendoza grounded to third.
Eric Young grounded to short.
Ted Writer singled through the hole.
Todd Helton doubled down the third base line, scoring a run.
Billy Wagner came in to pitch for the Tribe.
Lee Stevens pinch hit for Troy Glaus.
Lee Stevens homered over the left field fence for two RBIs.
Ben Grieve lined out to left.
3 runs, 3 hits, 0 errors, and 0 left on base.
At the end of the eighth, Colorado leads 8 to 3.
This is the 2nd game of the World Series, why did Lee Stevens pinch hit for Troy Glaus? The reason I'm complaining is that Troy Glaus hit .318 with 71 HR, 142 Runs, 163 RBI's in the regular season. He led the league in homeruns, runs scored, and runs batted in, basically he is the best player in the league. Clay can you make it so the best player in the league (or just the best hitter on a team) doesn't get pinch hit for.
Here is some more strange managerial decisions:
BOTTOM OF THE EIGHTH
Eric Young walked.
Ted Writer laid down a sacrifice bunt to the catcher.
Todd Helton grounded to third.
Troy Glaus was intentionally walked.
Ben Grieve homered over the center field fence for three RBIs.
Billy Wagner came in to pitch for the Tribe.
Carlos Mendoza pinch hit for Garret Anderson.
Carlos Mendoza doubled to left.
Larry Walker was intentionally walked.
Bobby Estalella popped up to the catcher.
3 runs, 2 hits, 0 errors, and 2 left on base.
At the end of the eighth, Colorado leads 5 to 2.
This was game 6 of the World Series. Garret Anderson led my team in hitting for the season with a .329 BA, and also had 34 HR, and 110 RBI.
There is something wrong if these great hitters are getting pinch hit for in the World Series.
