if you remember his closer got hurt early in the year. And when your bullpen consists of Mike Morgan and Greg Swindell what is a guy to do? The yankees have the money to spend to buy the championship each year and that is what you are seeing... That is why it's a real shame to see what the owners are doing to the game. It's no longer a game it's who spends the most money:(

I am a Yankees fan, and I'm getting sick of people saying that the Yankees buy their wins. Yes, their payroll is the highest in baseball. And yes, it is nearly impossible to win without a high payroll (although it does seem possible in the short-term). But if money were the only thing that determined a winner shouldn't Boston, the Mets and LA all be winning teams??

Mike Mussina is the only major free agent signing the Yankees have made over their run of championships.

Ok, I'm done venting now :)
