My lineup is changing!

I have joe Girardi as my starting catcher and upon checking game recaps, I noticed that the back up catcher has been inserted in place of Girardi Every game. THIS IS NOT GOOD.
the back up is only a C- contact and I only want him as a back up.
HELP!

Check the defense stats. I had the same problem with my starting 1st baseman. He was getting pulled for my backup 2B every game. I checked the stats and I noticed he had made 26 errors at 1st the previous season. 26! At first base. Girardi might be ranked as a terrible defender so the computer pulls him.

That should be my decision. Don't you think? That's a major problem. Maybe I put more importance on offense than defense. I hope this gets fixed, becuse now i am thinking of sending my back up to the minors so my starting player plays.

Is it possible that your starting Catcher was injured?

I don't believe that the computer should be making lineup changes for you except if a player is injured.

See if there is any indication that that might have happened.

And see if the problem persists.

You can see if the injury report is in the headlines -- sometimes they are reported there.

Otherwise, I don't think you can tell. But if he is healthy now, see if the problem has gone away, or if he is still be substituted on a regular basis.
