Seems to me that Giambi is worth a bigger contract than Ramirez. Because he's younger, a team leader, and probably provides more defensively.
But I keep hearing numbers around $15M to $17M for Giambi. Is this proof that the Red Sox overpaid for Manny with a contract averaging $20 million per year?
BTW, here's the list of eligible Free Agents: http://espn.go.com/mlb/s/2001/1021/1267184.html
The Red Sox lead the AL with 11 player eligible for free agency; the Yankees and Mariners are tied for 2nd with 9.
This is good news as it means we get to clear out a lot of players.

Giambi good defense very intresting lol. Remember manny cut off a throw from CF as the LF, jason never did anything close to that.

Clay said "provides more defensively" than Manny Ramirez.
And this was eight years ago.

But maybe eight years ago he couldn't have made that play.
