3 choices, take your pick. Remember, this would probably help the lower tier teams that can't make as much money.

I think they should - probably along the lines that nysteinbrenner laid out where teams get $ for the games over the minimum number played (i.e. games 4 and 5 from a best of 5 series) as they do in the majors.

The real MLB is allowing the teams to have their playoff money, cause they EARNED it. However, when Clay and fellows is trying to make this game more realitistic, they refused to let the playoff teams to have their OWN money that they EARNED it, that's not good.

BBM:

It's not that they refused it as a matter of course, but that based on the information they had at the time, they believed that all post-season revenue was held in the MLB's Central Fund rather than split between the fund and post-season teams as I put in an earlier post on another thread.

Now that they have information to the contrary, I'm sure it'll be looked into and think it'll be likely that some form of correction will be made down the road.

Tier 1 teams already have an advantage in the existing mogul scoring system, and in their ability to make the playoffs year-in and year-out. Adding additional $$ bonus's to playoff teams will again give more money to the rich teams, making it more difficult for small market teams to be competitive.

While this idea mimics real life, it creates an even larger difference between the big and small market teams. This reduces playability in Baseball Mogul.

Lets say you are interested in joining a Baseball Mogul league. Is it any coincidence that almost always, the Tier 1 teams are first selected? And the Tier 5 teams are almost always the last selected?

Enuf ranting...

Being a tier 4 team (Anaheim), I really need that revenue. If only playoff revenue began counting tomarrow, before my playoffs begin.

Well your probley right, most small market teams have to get good people through the Farm System So they win through
And they have to make good trades then they become big market and get good. But i defiently See your Point.

One thing to consider... Large Markets are already selling out their stadiums most games. The Small markets are drawing 20-25K fans normally and for them to get 8-12 home games with 40-50K in attendance would help them a LOT. The difference for a small market team to have 8 games of 5+ revenue would be huge... how much difference does an extra 50 revenue make to a team with 300 revenue? vs a team with 700 revenue?

Of course in Atlanta and Houston they don't even sell out their playoff games...

And don't forget the Arizona. The Diamondbacks had some empty seats in the first round of the playoffs this year.
