OK, a couple of examples here:
Example 1:
Nick Schultz doubled in the left field gap. <-2->
Vernon Coppola grounded to short. <--1>
Example 2:
Noland Turkenkopf reached second on a fielding error by the center fielder. <-2->
Noah McLoughlin hit an infield single to short. <3-1>
All right, here's the problem. In both cases, why is the man on 2nd base running? I see this type of thing in my recaps all the time. Anyone who knows anything about baseball knows that you don't run in that situation. If you are standing on 2nd and the ball is hit to the left side, you don't move. I could see if it happened every once in a while (as a baserunning error or something), but it seems to happen all the time.
Is it possible that my strategies are causing this? I am a little agressive in baserunning (+2 or so), but I wouldn't think that would cause the guy on 2nd to move in this situation. Has anyone else seen this, or am I just crazy?
