Here's a story that showed up in one of my leagues following an offseason trade. It seemed a little odd to me because most of the information used in the story is not helpful during the offseason...

Braves And Kings Shuffle Four Players

Kansas City - The Atlanta Braves traded away Vernon Wells on Sunday for the following one players: starting pitcher Eric Milton. Vernon has a strong eye and excellent ability to put the ball in play. Over 143 games in 2003, he walked sixty times and had 105 strike outs. The Atlanta Braves have a team fielding average of .000. They have committed 0 errors in 162 games so far in 2003. The Kansas City Kings hold first place in the AL Central with a .000 team batting average and a 0.00 team ERA.

One players?
Strong eye? Besides that it's an odd phrase, 105 K's to 60 BB's isn't that great.

The fielding info for the Braves and the "1st place" standing of the Kings also aren't that noteworthy.

I'm more concerned about the "Four" players part. The blurb only mentions two.

You're right - the blurb only mentions two players, but four were actually part of the trade (Wells and two so-so prospects for Milton).

It would be nice if all trades, and all participants in the trade, were mentioned in the headlines. I know some of my smaller trades don't seem to warrent a headline, yet I'd like to know when there is player movement.
