The pitching in Baseball Mogul is really bad. The inbalane between hitting and pitching is completely absurd. You look around the leagues and the vast majority of teams have team ERAs over 5.0. Do you know how many MLB teams had ERAs over 5.0 last year? 6 out of 30. And only one team had a team ERA above 5.3. 7 teams in MLB had team ERAs under 4.0. In most leagues in Baseball Mogul you will be lucky to find 2 of 3 teams in a given season with an ERA under 4.0.

It seems to me it would be pretty easy to change the formulas for hitting and pitching to ease the imbalance a bit. The biggest culprits to me seem to be too many HRs and too many walks, but batting average is a problem too. There are also too many errors. It seems really easy to find guys who can hit at a pretty decent level for cheap at any time, but it's a lot harder to find pitchers who can pitch for really cheap at any time.

It also seems to me that hitter's scouting ratings improve much more in their early years than pitcher's do. To me this may be the biggest problem. The game just needs to help spur the development of pitchers who can get guys out.

I think the hitting/pitching problem is problem #1 after making sure we don't lose anymore stats or get our credit card numbers stolen.
