Their needs to be more options to interact with other owners in the league. Perhaps an online chat room for each league or an indicator of who in your league is currently online. Require owners to post their e-mail address etc.

You already can tell who is online and logged in...go to the My Account page and then click on the league name. On that page, each team name has something like 1m, 2h, or 4d next to it. This shows how long since they have last logged in, or if they are currently logged in, it says 1m. (5m=5 minutes, 5h=5 hours, 5d=5 days).

As for the league chat, most leagues talk via MSN Messenger or ICQ. The message boards also are useful. Finally, you can send users Private Messages through the forum and send them email as well.

I think that forcing managers to post their email address is a violation of privacy...I know some people have declined to post their address and instead use the PM system.

Fair enough. I was actually aware of the page that shows how long since they last logged in. However, I'm not sure all the owners in my league are even aware of the message board. Currently 5 people have e-mail addresses posted and 3 people show ICQ or MSN/AIM user names. This is out of a total of 24 owners.

I'm just saying that the interaction is critical to people staying invloved(You might read this last sentence as "critical to people continuing to pay their monthly fees")

I see your point. I guess my only advice would be to join one of the full leagues or a private league, where you can usually find everyone's contact info. Many people do not like the message boards...in EML we have 30 owners, but only about half check the board.

I don't think a chat room would be implemented any time soon, only because it would probably cost a lot and take up a lot of bandwidth and resources.
