Adjusting Player Positions.

Does adjusting or changing a players position affect their Hitting output?

i.e. Moving a 1st Baseman to Catcher negativiely Impact his hitting?

Moving a Catcher to 1st Base positively affect his hitting stats?

I don't have any concrete evidence, but I'd say no.

I've had good hitting 3B play SS for a complete season. I've had OF's play 1B, and 1B's play OF. I've been blessed with good catchers, but I would have no qualms moving a 1B or OF to C.

In fact, if the player has a good fielding rating, he won't do too badly there. The game should penalize players out of position much more than they currently do.
