I was wondering how hard it would be to create old seasons, and the upcoming 2004 Season? I imagine it would be easy, since the skills are based on previous stats.
Depends on how far your willing to take it. If it's a matter of just redoing the projected numbers & switching players to new teams then maybe 2 weeks if ya crank on it but if you go the whole ten yards with Height, weight, experience, actual career stats, age & whatever else there is then count on it taking a good long time. Half the battle is finding the different sites for the stats. None of them have every position.

I had tried to attempt creating a historical league, starting in 1978, and thanks to NFL Archives and another site with historical stats, I have the information, but I ran into an error when trying to edit the players' previous season stats.
Maybe this will help. Try the Pro Football Statistics Encyclopedia (1920-2002) (http://download.com.com/3000-7427-10224323.html) found at download. com. Has everyone that ever played the game listed in it with thier yearly stats. Only problems I've found with it is sacks or older players arent there, nobody really kept that stat back then, and you really need a high speed internet connection to use it. The programs a online thing and it needs to download the entire database everytime it's run. Still can be used with 56k but bring a lunch.
