Can you use BM 2004 rosters with 2005?

Can you use BM 2004 rosters (universe file) with 2005? I've tried to use Scorey's last update, some data changes (money) but the rosters don't.

they probably will be able to work in 2005

It should work. We try to make each version backwards compatible. So BB2K5 can load BB2K4 databases, but not vice versa (since when we were making BB2K4, we didn't know we'd be implementing a Minor League Draft and Transactions).

because some people will want to still play 2k4 and before?

So you mean if I import my 2004 universe file to the 2005 folder, it should work? Awesome.

I tried that, I replaced the 2005 universe file with one I use with 2003, but the lineups didn't change. I think I have to replace the lahman.dat file, but don't have anything to replace it with. Converting the universe.dat to lahman.dat doesn't change the rosters either. The only reason I care is that I've been thrying to play as the phillies, and there are at least 5 or 6 incorrect players.

umm, you need to replace your universe, then go to start year, dont load stats

I had a file from 04 that I brought into the 05 and it worked fine until the Draft, then it crashed.

not sure if the .mog file should work, but your universe will work if you import from 2k4 to 2k5, not vice versa.
