im guessing if you put players in triple A, their peak values change. But that is just a guess

Farm System
The money you put into your Farm System affects how well your players develop. Players who haven't yet reached their 'Peak' value will develop faster and reach a higher peak level on a team with a top-quality Farm System.

I wish we still had the sliders though cause I prefer power hitters with good defense over everything else and I would like those to be the top priororities of my minor league hitters.

mostly in the draft i end up drafting pitcher for my team and signing free agents and trading my pitchers for young batters. Most of the time i see that a pitcher is the highest on the list and I want the best.

you can change this by using the rookies file in your Baseball 2004 folder

Yes, having sliders to tell the farm how much to spend on things like contact, power, defense, control, etc would be great.

And a way to find players in the draft say with 85 or higher contact or speed is a must have!

The solution would be more detailed searchable info about the draftable players. Instead of just listing "current" and "peak" values, it should list specific contact, power, speed, eye etc. values -- just like the draft in High Heat did.

You can have it to that. That right click the toolbar that says the categories and click the button that says something like "Change column headings" or something and you can choose whatever you want.
