7.00 Cant save games in Universe.dat [Fixed 7.01]

YOu cant save games in Universe.dat anymore....

they save in .mog files even if you click down on the universe on the pull down menu!

Yes i have the same problem I like the game and hope this gets corrected soon

I have figured out a way to change it. Here is an Updated version of the rosters with some of the rookies some1 else made it so i don't take credit for your hard work.

What i did was i did my editing saved it as a regular save file with any name. second i right clicked on the file and click properties and in the space i typed in Universe.dat and it changed to a .dat file and then i renamed the file Universe and it worked. This is fixed in the upcoming 7.01 patch.

You can rename a mog to a dat and it will work fine. When mogul saves a dat it doesn't include data like transactions and year by year lines which results in a smaller file. But that is for convienence, and it works fine with a renamed mog.

I seem to be having a problem in all the universe.dat updates in which the payroll budgets are all WAY too low than they should be and are in the 2004roster file. For example, the Yankees payroll budget is $52 million! Does anybody either have this as well or know how to fix it?
