Player Photos

I downloaded the pictures from Jeff Olsen's link.(they worked perfectly on my other computer.) but for some reason they don't work on this computer. I thought maybe the files weren't saved as jpg or bmp but i checked and they were. I tried to input them into the game but they just won't work. Sorry if this makes no sense its kinda late at night and i'm tired but could anyone help me?

In 2004 the pictures JPG name lined up with what the rosters had them as, for exaple, in Olsen's picture database you had AROD's pic saved as ARod and in the game it was loading ARod for the pic. In the new game it does not line up and has like 34531fsa instead? Another fckin flaw

I just copy and pasted my portraits and action folders from my 2004 game to BBM2K5 and the pics have worked totally fine for me.

I tried the same thing that you did mooseman but it didn't work i renamed all the players picture line to match the picture and it didn't work. I did the copy and paste no success i will keep trying anyway.

I assume 2K5 still has the Personalize Photos and Missing Photos functions. Did you try those?

It turns out that I forgot to do something when renaming so the pictures. I for got to save:rolleyes: . It was all my fault i am dumb sorry for the waste of space in the forum

So once I have downloaded the ZIP file for the years that I want and extract the files to the Portraits folder, how do I get them to sync with the correct players?

Each player photo has a name Usually 10 letters max you put in the first 10 letters of their name (first and last no spaces) and hit the refresh button in the edit player screen or i have a universe where i did it and you can download that. If you don't understand just post back

I forgot on that roster i didn't do all the pictures i didn't do the relivers and the AAA pitchers yet so if you hold off for like an hour or 2 i can finish that

I can't seem to get the player photos to work...they don't show up and it says that their all missing. Could someone fill me in on how to remedy this problem? thanks.

So I got some of em in. It was by accident though. I was updating the player photo names in BM in the easiest way for me (which is the way Twins described) when I was modifying some rosters and at next boot pictures started showing up...

The ones on my site are set up to automatically unzip into the correct folders if you tell it to unzip to the Photos folder. The ones at SimCentral were supposed to do this also but Gwynar seperated the action shots and portraits when he posted them to his site.
