Performance Question

Why are the ratings so low for good players? For example. Michael Young(Texas Rangers) finished last season with 200+ hits and a 300+ batting average and will probably dp the same this seaon yet in the game he has a 72 contact rating. A 72. I was thinking of doing a roster based on the newest Street and Smith's Baseball catalog if someone would tell me how to edit the Universe.dat file. Thanks.

the universe editing should be fixed in the next patch or two.
