When you are in debt, you cannot negotiate contract extension except for minimun salary, you cannot also make a trade to increase your payroll, these make great sense.
But you can freely sign free agents!!! That does not make any sense. If the punishment for debt is you cannot get or keep good players, you should NOT be able to pick any free agent (or maybe other than minimum contract)!! Otherwise, what's the point of debt? You can freely sign any player from free agent market and don't need to worry debt... let it be...
I think this should be fixed.
