I am enjoying Baseball Mogul 2005. However, there is something that I find odd. The overwhelming majority of players available in the minor-league draft have poor statistics. That strikes me as odd. True prospects would tend to have better statistics than average and the problem would be in figuring out which among them are truly talented. Is this a bug or is it working as designed?

You can edit the numbers in the rookies.ini file to produce better rookies. It's in your BBM2k5 folder.

It's not that I want better drafted players. I've kept track of my draft choices and have discovered that about two players per draft become contributors if you are up near the top in spending on scouting and development. That seems about right. What I'm saying is that, in terms of realism, it's likely that even players who are unlikely to make it in the majors will have good minor-league numbers.

I haven't found that at all...after about 2 or 3 seasons I find that almost all the award winners are new players....I almost never see any current players other than Prior and Wood listed.
