Updated Roster MOG file

Okay I went through the old updated one and added in the managers, and a bunch more minor leaguers, as well as trying to make sure the rosters were up to date for the most part ( I admit I might make a mistake and miss moving someone!).

I wound up having to get creative to keep all the FA's ( knowing the game just deletes them ) so there are two expansion teams which I put in to hold the players. You can just kill them if you want, and whatever players survive they survive in the FA lists.

As is I've found a glitch of a bug and it is annoying but dunno how to get rid of it so.... seems FA Bob Watson likes to sign himself to your team for 19 mil so just keep an eye on it and boot his sorry backside back to the FA list. Dunno WHY it does this but seems to happen for some reason. Other than that runs fine.

This might well tide people over till Scorey and Co get theirs done.

One thing I forgot to mention was I have no idea how to clear the transactions etc so it still shows having had to move players so if anyone knows how to do this and wants to and then repost please do!:D

u should make this a universe, universe now works correctly in 7.02, and now 7.03 is out!

boomboom would love to except am technologically impaired and not sure what am doing really when it comes to saving as this and that.... thought about that as well as saving as 2k4 for those who've been askin.... may well play about and do so!

All you have to do is rename it from .mog to .dat by right clicking and choose rename.

I went through the last while and updated the universe with trades signings etc to try and keep it current to some extent... might have missed some... was away on holidays so...:p

Yeah got that one... though as of tonight seems the Braves got OF Jackson Melian from the Yanks so will have to move him still but will wait a while for other moves... there were a few players, mostly minors guys, that weren't in the universe to start with but the players are all traded that were.... and unfortunately Aaron Boone is not in the universe for some reason so have to get him in there but that'll take some work and time I hadn't had recently! So him on Cleveland isn't done yet either but I'll get to it!:D

Overall, it is a good update. However, being a Texas Ranger fan, I noticed that a handful of people were either left off of the team or people who have not been on the team for a couple of years are still there. Just a few people left off are Ryan Drese, Nick Bierbrodt, Frank Francisco, Doug Brocail, and Gary Matthews.

Thanks for the compliment... I was working off a 2k4 roster I'd added a ton of players in... they may have been in the FA pool and got kicked out cause it only keeps so many... I'll see about trying to get them in... have to get Aaron Boone in too and a few recent moves as well so...

Northern Brave these rosters are very good. The salaries are pretty accurate also like Chan Ho Park making around 14 million a year compared to the other rosters available on this forum stating that he makes 2 million. Just wondering why the start year is 2003?

Thanks for the kind words. This started based off one of Scorey's so cannot take all the credit. All I did was go in and dump a crud load of players and such in and try to tweak them so they weren't all dominant and such... Scorey deserves a lot of the credit for making something so good it makes me look good!

As for the start date and such that's just when the universe was set up for originally and I hadn't changed that at all.

I should have another updated version available soon with recent trades and a couple players added in ie removing Hentgen who retired and putting in Purcey who just signed and adding Charles Thomas to the Braves etc etc...

Northern Brave, I DL your file to check it out...a few things I noticed.....the size is 644, thats about 3 times the size it should be. It should be around 244. Also why doesn't anybody have year by year stats? And lastly...even in simulation mode your peak ages are all 99-105....I think you need to DL the newest patch (7.11) and re-create the rosters so that the bug doesnt affect the peak ages...I was having all kinds of problems with it before i figured it out...every now and then I still have to go back and fix a few because when you create a player it effects some of the other players in the database. Just a few suggestions b/c it looks like your having the similar problem I had with a past universe release.

Thanks for letting me know. Unfortunately I don't use sim mode so had not caught this at all... as for size that would be because of all the added players in there on all the teams and the fact there are two more teams. Which is also why occasionally it does eat a player off the FA List and such.

As for year by year stats some players don't have it because they were added into the database and I didn't waste a lot of time originally putting that all in.

As I said at the start of this entire thread this is by no means anywhere near perfect and I'm not sitting spending a whole ton of time. This is just an updated version of a roster from last year where prospects and rookies were tossed in and added and players moved about. About the only thing I did do was play with some contract/salaries to update that a bit.

Since there were some moves like those becoming FA like Fick, and Walker being moved, did the update on the roster, added in a few new players like Burch and Crozier etc that were part of deals made... current up to today unless some deals were made today I haven't heard about yet.:p
