I know you are a Yankees fan, which you hate the mariners but the 1992 mariners just sucked, Actually if you pick any Mariner team from 1977 -1990, with 1991 being there 1st winning season, you will find out that they were the tampabay devilrays of the 80's
They were just plain awefull.
The 1995 mariners were a good team with injuries...."ken Griffey Jr."
The 1997 mariners were suppose to be one of the best teams in history with that hitting. But pitching sucked, So they didnt make it that far.
Just some ideas. Also maybe you could take on that 1995 Yankee team, (who lost to the Mariners) The first time they reached the playoffs since the late 70's early 80's. DOn Mattingly's last season. What ever team you choose, I will enjoy reading your Dynasty!!!
Of Your choices I picked the 1962 Mets!

Thanks for the input. I started the 1996 Brewers, and you can read all about it in the Dynasties thread. I made it to the playoffs in my second season! I will probably play it until I win a World Series, then possible take up one of your suggestions. Any feedback is always great boomboom, thanks!

the '62 mets, in my experience, arent as bad in the game as they were in real life (i imported them into another league and they performed better then one would think, .450s or so.
and without r/l rookies, it'd just be a team of fictional members since almost no-one from the '62 team lasted beyond a couple years with the team.

Why would you want to do a dynasty with the worst teams in history?

ummm... that's the fun of it. It's really no skill if you take, say, the '27 Yankees and say "hey, let's see if i can win with them." Of course you can, unless you'r just a complete *****. The challenge is the team that isn't winning but can (as opposed to say the hope-less case (cough Devil Rays cough), which is just an exerise in self-pity)
Now, a REAL dynasty challenge: take the '99 Spiders to the pennant! Can you make Harry Coliflower a 20-game winner?

Exactly. There's no fun in taking a great team and trying to win with them. The fun is trying to take bad team and making them better while keeping them in business.
