Hi, need a little help here.

I am interested in the online game. However, reading the information on the site (including the pretty useless FAQ) provided me with almost no information at all about what it really is. I was an avide BBM2001 player, and I'd like to learn more about the online game.

Am I missing something? Is there some link which describes how this thing works? A walk-through? A demo? Or do I have to read through the forums to figure this game out?

Questions:

Is this just basically the same as BBM, but a multiplayer online version?

What aspects of the league can I control? Size of league? Size of teams? Length of season? Level of AI dificulty?

Is there a draft for players? Random player distribution?

Are there minor leagues? Are they handled the same way as in BBM?

Are the finances handled like in BBM?

Can you play multiple seasons - "carreer mode"?

Thanks for any guidance.

I have some answers to your questions:

You can control the speed of the league (how many games per day), the hours that the league sims, if your league is public or private, and you can edit team rosters and finances.

There is not a draft, but one league is doing a manual draft that starts tomorrow. I'm sure more will do it also.

The minor leagues are handled like in the CD, with just AAA.

The point of the game is to play more than one season, and to go through free agency and play through many seasons...some leagues go through a season in as little as 3-4 days.

The finances are handled like the CD, but they now use points instead of dollars. This may seem like a big deal, but it is a very easy transition and is a minor change.

You might want to take a look at the screenshot page, at http://www.baseballmogul.com/baseballonline/screenshotspage.htm. This contains a basic walkthrough of the game.

You can create a free account to walk through the game and view all the controls and leagues without being able to make changes (basically an online demo) at http://www.baseballmogul.com/baseballonline/order.htm. If you decide to play, all you need to do is provide your payment info and you can start managing a team.

Hope this helps!

Thank you very much for answering my questions. And I believe those links were what I was looking for.
