MOGUL CHALLENGE 2004 RULES

- No computer trading.

- Each team begins with 100 pts cash.

- Any team that finishes the final season in debt (on November 1) will be disqualified.

- The commissioner reserves the right to veto any trade deemed to be collusion.

- Teams may not rent players. Example: Atlanta is in last place in July. New York is fighting for first place. Atlanta trades Tom Glavine to New York for the remainder of the season. After the season, New York trades Glavine and some cash as a thank you back to Atlanta.

- No club may extend the contract of a FA player signed to a 1 yr deal with a salary above 80pts on its roster until October 1 of that year.

- No club may sign a free-agent to a 1 year salary with the sole intent being to renegotiate the contract to more favorable terms as soon as the player is acquired from the pool.

- Please do not "snipe" players in the Free Agency period - i.e. bidding in the dead time while all the leagues simulate is not allowed.

For an owner to make a claim of sniping, the owner presenting the inquiry must have as proof a screenshot. To do this, you must wait until 1 second remains on the sim clock, then press the Print Screen button on your keyboard, then go directly to Microsoft Paint, then paste the screenshot onto the document, save the file, then post that file as an attachment in the forum. The commissioner will then make a judgement, and all decisions are final.

- Sports Mogul Inc. has final authority on all decisions and reserves the right to modify or amend these rules at any time without notice. We mean this! This is supposed to be a fun competition, so don't try to sue us if you think we have changed the rules on you.

---------------------------------------------------------------

After the first round, the top 15 teams (by Mogul points) will advance to the Finals. GM's will be given a designated time when they can select their team in the Finals.

These are the tiebreakers for advancement, and also for the finals:
1. Number of World Series wins
2. Average Record
3. Number of League Championships
4. Number of Playoff Appearances
