There will be a Football Mogul Online which means Clay will have to license the game for it to appeal to the largest number of potential players. As you're probably aware, MLBPA licensing was the reason behind the implementation of points in BM2K2.

Hi Guys,

There will not be NFLPA licensing for Football Mogul. The game will still be in dollars because of this.

i really think the game should be in dollars and cents, and i also think the game should have the real players names, but i understand that can't be done. maybe you can make it so we can change the players name w/out using commish mode like the Nicknames or League names.

if i had to choose between real names and dollars and cents i would choose the $.

keep us updated w/the game, it is coming out as a download or cd-rom not just an on-line game, right?

thanks, matt

The game will be out first as a CD, and then eventually as an online game. Please note the release has been delayed for a while because of issues with getting the game published.

The reason there are no real player names is not because they would rather do dollars instead of points. In fact, I am not sure that the NFLPA would require points, since games like Madden 2001 do dollars instead of points. The requirements to get an NFLPA license are much higher and more costly than the MLBPA, so it didn't work out.
