Currently, days during the off-season (from November through March) tick by at six times the speed of the normal season. So, for example, if your league sims 10 days per day, it will sim SIXTY days per turn in the off-season.
Just wondering what you guys thought of this speed?
I think BETA Leagues should sim 40 days in the off season. It gives busy owners more time to bid on free agents.

I'm also leaning toward 40 days per sim, instead of 60, but this poll seems to indicate no strong opinion. Anyone else out there have something to say?

P.S. I'm also overhauling the Free Agent bidding system, due up next week (probably around August 23rd)
Something needs to be done about players being release after a owners team has been knocked out of the playoffs or just did not make the playoffs.
As for sim times for the off season.
Maybe a warning email, to let players know that the league is about to start free agency.
If I am paying to play, I would want the time to go by pretty fast, but on the other hand, if I miss the Free agent start I could miss out on alot of good players......that is why players should not sign right away. I have sat here w/ my high speed line an just out clicked people for players.....an that really is not all that fair. ( of course I could be wrong an my connection has little to no meaning)
is there any way to speed up the playoff speed to the off-season speed? It seems to go by too slow now, and I'd just assume see the entire playoff series go in one to three sims, rather than about five or six.

Right now, I don't care much about the speed of the off-season... Once there's an improved bidding system, I'd probably prefer to have it sim a bit slower...

how about getting those rookie contracts to 6 years?? its so hard to rebuild. If you got a great rookie, he wants a huge long term contract before ya know it.

IMHO the playoffs and offseason take way too long. Of course I should point out that I play this game 24/7, so the 24hrs of inactivity would of course drive me crazy.
Freestyle, of course it would be better to have 6 year, 1 point contracts for rookies, but that will make the game much easier, which is not the point. We're just gonna have to live with New York and Boston getting all the good, expensive free agents that most teams cannot afford.

I also wouldn't mind the offseason a tad bit slower with regards to the FastSim leagues. :)
