The Game won't work

I downloaded BBM 2005. The file I downloaded is a .exe file... but windows says it is an ASP file. When I click on it it prompts me to choose a file to open it with.

What I downloaded is not a setup file like the demo, what is going on and how do I get it to work?

I had a similar problem. When I downloaded, Windows Explorer showed the download file with a .php extension. It sounds like your download came through with a file extension that Explorer doesn't recognize. The advice I got, which worked, is as follows:

The php extension gets added for me when I use Netscape/Mozilla. All you need to do is click on the file and delete the part with ".php". You may need to make show that you don't have "Hide extensions for known file types" checked under Folder Options.

For example, if the downloaded file is called "File.exe.php" ( or whatever it is called ) then right-click on the file and select Rename. Remove the ".php" part so that the file is now called "File.exe".

You should then be able to open the file as normal.
