Playoff/September rosters

I'm not going to test this (and incur the wrath of my fellow GMS)

But it seems like you can sign free agents any time.

Even in the playoffs.

I think that rosters should probably be frozen in September and October.

Or are they already?

You can sign free agents whenever you want. There is no lock in September and October...generally, the crop of FA's is not too good at that time.

It can be unfair for playoff teams if teams decide to release all their contract year guys in the end of September, but that is up to the individual GM.
