I think the sportsmogul should start something like Via-Tech online License.

It would bring the price up, but at the same time, it would create more secruity with the program, nobody getting a free copy! I lost my ootp license a long time ago..... but then contacted Via-Tech and got a new license within 30minutes. They asked a few questions and I got it!!!

Pure sim, and ootp4-6 use this. I would love to see this, even if it cost $10 more.

just my 2 cents!

We have a record of all orders. If you lose your download, just send me an e-mail. It's faster if you still have your order number. But if not, we can still look you up. No need to raise the price...

cool! that is something i like to hear Clay, I just think the idea is good, because you get a lot of people on here saying they have sent an e-mail, and actually trying to get a free copy.

basically it only allows you to have a game on 3 different computers. You have to have internet access to all computers. If you have 4 computers, you have to get another license. This is a messure that some software companies take to stop people from pirating there Software.

We did at one point use Softwrap to for licensing Football Mogul and the customer feedback was HORRIBLE. All this despite the fact that we researched the heck out of them, got positive feedback from other publishers etc. who thought Softwrap was great.

I know Softwrap isn't Via-Tech, but if they are at all similar, we'll stick with our current system. Although an e-mail to me occasionally slips through the cracks -- it still seems to be better than trying to deal with a strange 3rd company.

Also, I'm not sure everyone else would agree with you about the price raise. Most sports sims are more expensive than Mogul, so they can maybe fold in the license cost -- but we try to keep it affordable for everyone every year.

Oh yeah, I remember that fiasco. It might have been the biggest disaster in SM history.

I stand corrected.
