Opening Day Rosters

Would you all like to see a version of the universe put out that has rosters for each team just as they were on opening day of 2004? RC2 expressed a possible interest in putting something like this out...so I am testing the waters to see how much interest there is...Please post your feedback...Thanks

that would be awesome, man ... i was beginning to wonder if i was the only one who prefered opening day rosters to completely up-to-date ones ... i just figure since mogul starts on april 1st its cool when the rosters are accurate as of april 1st, too. but good rosters none the less.

Not unless you keep the up to date rosters out. So basically finish this roster, then undo all the trades :p, but have them both in posts to download. I want the Up to date ones, this is just a possibility to do both.

i'm just curious, but why do so many people want them up to date? i understand you like having beltran with houston and nomar with the cubs and so on but isnt it more realistic that since the season starts on april 1st the rosters are accurate as of april 1st? just wonderin

I would like to have both of them.

I want up to date for realism and then I want as of opening day to do what Dave Littlefield should have done as oppose to what he did. He could have gotten so much more for Benson, the twins were offering Morneau, the phillies offered the big HR hitter in AAA and so many other offers instead he takes Wigginton and Batista. I like Wigginton, just not batista. There were better players within the mets that we could have gotten in that deal.

Just to clarify something:

If we do a universe for the Opening Day rosters, it'll likely include the same players as the Up To Date universe we're doing now. We'd simply move players around so that, to use a previous example, Nomar's in Boston, Garcia's in Seattle, etc.

I was already thinking about doing this so that I could use, for example, LA and have Mota, LoDuca, and Encarnacion. But if people prefer it up to date, then we can make that happen.

I wouold like the begining of the season rosters better, a bit more true to form, since the season in mogul starts april 1. Also I wouldn't have to live with all the stupid (bad) trades some teams made.
