WHY DID I HAVE SEVERAL GAMES IN LATE APRIL (WITH STARTERS READY TO GO), HAVE GAMES STARTED BY MEMBERS OF MY BULLPEN????? None of which are even long relief????? This all took place on April 28th and 29th 2002.
28th: Starting pitcher was a short reliever (jones), my spot starter (sparks) came in and pitched 3 innings and my # 5 starter (Bere) closed the game!
29th: My SET UP man (Fyhrie) started and Sparks pitched another inning in this one as well (probably because the rest of the bullpen had recently been overused).
I don't know what happened here, but it also appears my next scheduled starter is my #5 man, for all intent and purposes it plans on skipping my #4 starter (Roger Clemmens), who seems to be fully rested as does my WHOLE STARTING rotation since they haven't been starting games. My bullpen is thoroughly exausted and this really stinks! I have a decent strting rotation and very good bullpen put together, but if they are misused like this, I may as well throw in the towel in May.
HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can use the Listbox at the top of your rotation to affect the way your rotation is used. Sounds like you might want to go to a strict 5-man rotation and see if that prevents the bullpen getting starts.

Also, you can select who your next starting pitcher is -- choose R. Clemens from the list on the upper right of your screen.

Let me know if this helps.

I was already set to strict 5 man rotation. Any idea why it messed around so severely with my rotation?
Thanks

I'm not sure. We've been working on the AI in this area and were having pretty good results recently. It's possible one of your starters was injured. Let me know if you have continued problems and I'll try to figure it out.
