I have to disagree. NBA is a lot more popular than the WNBA and that is the same with college basketball, the men are more popular than the women.

No no no, what I am saying, is teh sport of basketball is not a man's sport, it is for women. Nothing about the NBA or the WNBA. Just basketball is a girls sport, I mean what fun it tossing a ball up through a ring? Boring.

There are three basic skills in sports. Throwing a ball accurately, catching a ball, and hitting a ball. There's only one sport whose players (the majority at least) have to be good at all three.

Basketball is a pathetic game. You have to be able to toss the ball accurately. That's it. The only other "skill" is you have to be tall. If you're exceptional at tossing the ball, you can be shorter. If you're not so good at tossing the ball you have to be taller and fatter.

What a joke of a thread. started out with a decent concept then gets tampored by shallow minds arguing if basketball is a 'girls' sport. Takes a lot more athletic talent to be a basketball player then a baseball player Ill tell you that. As for 'girls' sport can you please clarify just what that means? The only validity to the statement was that it is 'boring', that must make it a girls sport. Just like golf, weightlifting, discus throws. They are all 'boring' to me so I guess I'll call them 'girl' sports. Hoping not to affend.

There may be a Basketball Mogul later this year, but it will require some programming help so that Ian and I don't get pulled off of BMO and BB2K8. We're still looking at who we could afford to hire.

As for the rest of this thread, it's perhaps somewhat ironic that the WNBA today is essentially the game that Dr. Naismith designed. He put the peach baskets ten feet off the ground so that no one could reach them, not so that Vince Carter could do windmill dunks.

Not that it matters anyway since Phenix is just trying to rile you guys up! :)

And I think Tysok forgot one skill: kicking the ball. You know, what the rest of the world calls "football".

I wish they would make one also, I like the NBA, because more then half the teams make the playoffs. Baseball Mogul would have been alot better if they would allow you to add teams to the play off structure.

What you need Clay is an entrepreneur-programmer like yourself who is also a sports fan, preferably a basketball fan. This way, he or she will not seek a salary during production but rather only funding and advice help to create an awesome product and to become associate of yours rather than simple employee.

With the programming model of the mogul games and your mentorship, such person could be junior associate to begin and produce a great game for your company.

But I'm sure you tought of that already. Just make sure such person(s) shares your basic business philisophy and would fit well within your current corporate culture.

Calm down folks, Clay hasn't promised anything here. Obviously, Basketball Mogul, Hockey Mogul, heck even Rugby and Soccer Mogul would probably be products if Clay had the resources to produce them all. If a Basketball Mogul is released at some point, I'm sure that many of us will purchase it and enjoy it, but until that time comes the most constructive attitude to have is to be supportive but patient. While we're waiting, let's be supportive by enjoying Football Mogul and Baseball Mogul.

i think i would enjoy a online basketball mogul the most, even more than baseball even. footballs a more popular game, but id really say basketball would b a more entertaining sim than football is. i know thats very far off but i can still dream.
