The Perfect Candidate

It's become clear to me that there really isn't a decent person to vote for come this November 2nd. The only 2 that have a shot at winning are the 2 skull & bones' boys Bush and Kerry....So my suggestion is to just write in the name of someone you are close to and admire...At least you will have stood firm on your convictions and truly voted for someone you support...The old cliche "vote for the lesser of 2 evils" is hogwash...They are both equally EVIL....why would you vote for an evil at all? to any degree?...Pick out a respected family member or trusted friend and write their name in come Nov. 2nd

And by a recent study, 40% of jobs in this country is somehow related to the government. This includes construction workers, teachers, cops and firefighters. Where should the cuts be?

I'd like a Liberal Libertarian. Someone that will give people assistence, but it needs to be regulated to ensure its not abused. Abortions should have to be approved so that they do not act as a form of contraception. I'll post more later.

Why should I have to pay FICA tax?....What if I don't want Social Security when I am older?....Why should I be FORCED to pay a tax that I don't want the benefit from?...As far as I'm concerned Social Security is just that...Socialism...And our country was not founded on Socialism....And we should do everything in our power to roll back all these Federal programs....

In my honest opinion we probably need to scale back the Federal government by 75-80 %.....And raise taxes locally....

You say we should give people assistance?....How much...?...and how far do we go with it?...Are there effective limits?....

IMHO....If we're going to dabble in Socialism then we need to just go ALL the way and convert to a Socialist country....If not then let's get this country back to where it started...Which is exactly the Constitution Parties agenda....They have no special interest groups driving them....Although they mention that our founding fathers started this country with Judeo-Christian ideas they do not pander to the religious right like neo-cons in the Republican Party...

The Democratic and Republican Parties do not stand on principles...They do not take on issues when they have a negative effect on their likely re-election...They both do their precious polling and then decide what ideas they want to be behind...In fact they both do not know what they truly believe...because they have no principles....

I'm all for politicians that will take a stand no matter how unpopular it may be and not worry about the political ramifications of their stand....That's just something you wont see from Mr. Kerry of Bush...And quite frankly I am sick of it!

I was reading in the USA today or perhaps a local newspaper...(don't remember which)...but anyway my point...This article stated that the election this year is going to come down to the political debates this fall....THIS IS ABSURD!!!

The article went on to say how each of the candidates are studying their opponents campaign speeches and gathering information on their opponent that they can use in the debates...Furthermore they practice "mock" debates with a stand-in posing as their opponent...I don't know about you all...but this seems incredible to me that the American people will let themselves be swayed by one's performance in a debate....These guys (Bush/Kerry) are just out there to give a "performance" for us....To me the debates are nothing more than entertainment...oh and lie after lie after lie....We should judge the candidates by their record....and if we do that then BOTH of them are not deserving to be our President.

Depends on if you read the New Testement or Old Testement. I've never read either, I've just heard enough from the right wing christian nuts that want to make this a christian nation.

This country has succeeded for so long because of the people in it and the work ethic there everyone thinks that one day that will be living it up. That dream is fading away because of decaying culture. I myself have never looked at the bible, but I can say that my parents raised me with the same morals that someone that goes to church everyday does. I have never stolen or cheated on anything because its the wrong thing to do.

The reformation was the catholic chruch reacting to defections from the church. These defections were because the church was corrupt, and merged completely with the sate. Criticizing the church suddenly became an attack against the state. Thats why religion cannot be part of government, because otherwise a criticism of religion becomes an insult to the state.
