Sad state of the Union

In a recent internet poll I found the following results:

The question was which of these five do you value most.

1. Human Rights 25%
2. Animal Rights 25%
3. I don't get involved 21%
4. Free Speech 15%
5. Politics 14%

The one thing that really sticks out to me here is the fact that animal rights received 25 % versus free speech with only 15%....Furthermore...by a margin of 60-40% animal rights, no involvement and politics won out over human rights and free speech....Are people really this stupid?

I laughed so hard when I read senshuken's post. He could hardly spell. It seems odd that he lives in the world’s richest country and cant even spell. You would think the government could afford to teach him how to spell but they are too busy dropping bombs on the “terrorists” in Iraq. It’s people like him that should open their eyes and at least take a look at their country and admit it isn’t perfect. I don’t think the USA sucks but I think it needs to make some improvements. If we don’t demand them they will never happen. And the USA got a high standard of living by stepping on the poor and not because of the perfect government. If someone is winning that means someone is losing because of the winners actions.

the govt. isnt interested in there citizens being informed and educated......they like ignorant uninformed citizens.....that way when they tell you that vacines are good for you the the sheeple will line up and accept there jabs

Would you call preferential treatment for minorities and gays "human or civil" rights....Why do we have to classify people into groups?....We are all Americans...plain and simple...There are no "African-Americans" "Hispanic Americans" "Asian Americans" etc...

We are just plain Americans....If I were to move to Russia would they call me an "American Russian"???....

No, I was refering to the way liberals are ridiculed for boycotting China because of human rights and civil rights, and because Deke was implying that there was something wrong with people that support human rights in civil rights in other countires. He was also implying that something was wrong with being kind to animals, I don't know about you guys, but when an animal jumps in front of my car, I always try to avoid it unless another car is coming from the opposite direction.

There is no prefential treatment for gays. THis is not China, and they should be able to have the same financial benefits as a straight couple.

I agree with you about the treating different groups as minorites, but I would just like to add that most minorities are incredibly lazy, I know this from firsthand experience. They know that they don't have to work as hard to get into college as I have to.

1. Nothing wrong with boycotting China in my opinion. In fact we should bycott ALL other nations and just keep to ourselves and mind our own business. Unless we are bothered in some way by these other nations. Plus all these Free Trade agreements and such are sickening. We are the wealthiest country in the nation and do not need any help or goods of any kind from any other nation. Plus we should stop all foreign aid and help our own first. If your family is in need and your nextdoor neighbor is in need and you can only help one which would you pick?

2. Nothing wrong with being kind to animals. But the wackos go too far with it. Animals were made for man for many different reasons by God. Man has dominion over them.

3. I disagree with you that there is no preferential treatment for gays. If gay marriage is not recognized by your state then you should NOT have the benefits that traditionally married people enjoy. That's just simple law. What would happen if everyone turned gay? We would no longer be able to reproduce and life as we know it would be gone. Being gay is NOT natural and is a Satanic lie and perversion.

4. I don't have first hand knowledge of minorities being lazy...but..."The System" does seem to foster that kind of atmosphere.

1. You are right, there are people in this country that need help and work just as hard as you do, or the owner of Chrysler does, they are the working poor and work at convience stores, retail, and other unwanted jobs. I think that we should use foreign aid when we need to protect our own interests, like to stop russia's old nukes from falling into the hands of a Dr. Evil type madman.

2. There is nothing wrong with testing on animals in my opinion, as long as they arent used to test the slicing power of a knife, or other reason similar to that.

3. Civil unions are fine. Being gay has been linked to certain conditions of development as a child, genes, and what happens when a child is in a mother. If people choose to be gay, then they would simply choose. I am an atheist though, so I dont believe in Satan or God, I believe in science. Religion finds the conclusion and makes the evidence. Science looks at the evidence and makes a conclusion.

4. If someone is on welfare they should be able to leave their kids somewhere while they work. The job that they have though, must be compatible with their kids school hours, otherwise the kid will raise themselves and end up as an unproductive member of society.

Riddle me this?....We know it is a LAW that something cannot come from nothing....that matter simply changes forms correct?....Then how did all that is here in this universe get here...frem whence did it come? There HAS to have been a Creator with the power to make ALL things from NOTHING...

This point cannot be argued...it is a FACT....in fact it is SCIENCE
