In one of my leagues the commissioner just restarted the league withoud any warning. I had fifteen years into the league and lost all the work I put into the league in an instant. I never even got to finish my last season and I was only two weeks from going into the playoffs. I also did not get to print out my history page or my final roster which I would have liked to have done.

So to all commissioners PLEASE do not restart leagues or end leagues without giving a few days warning. I have had other leagues restart and I know of one that was dissolved but in every other case but this last one the commissioner always gave plenty of warning. So show some consideration for your managers and give lots of notice before restarting a league or ending one.

Thanks. And Happy Holidays to all!

Schaefling is right. We have set a standard of expected etiquette for commissioners. James posted this a while back after we had some problems with commissioners abruptly disbanding or resetting their leagues.

Reminder to league commissioners:

I'd like to remind the league commissioners to be sure to keep your league players informed of upcoming changes to the league.

If you are planning to disband or reset your league, PLEASE post an announcement in advance -- preferably 48 hours or more in advance.

This will give your league players time to wrap up their games or find a new league if necessary.

Nobody likes to log on and find that the team they worked so hard to build is gone.

We will be adding the option to release a league into the public pool, so that the other players can continue to play, even if you want to be able to create a new league.
