If you could change, create one thing, what would it be, something that could really be changed, nothing from SCI-FI station where you could travel thru time.......

My change would be the bible.

Since God didnt write the bible, the bible is basically the views of 100-400AD. It needs to be changed to reflect today time. Remember GOD didnt write this text, it was people, it is just another book that is sacred......kind of how the book of morman was created by people even thou the founder supposely found some gold slabs in New York...then they disappeared......it was still written by People...

I would simply updated it. I feel like the Bible at the time of its creation was a mix between political views and science. Creation was the a way to describe where we came from even thou there is no scientific evidence....basically it is a well thought out story. Thou I do believe in GOD, and HEAVEN, Jesus Christ, i Do not believe in the fables of the bible.

There is still a lot of good in the bible, there is so much....like the 10 commandments...which is mostly values that could be traveled to anytime in history and future...but other things, some values are outdated.....like how gods views Homosexuallity as a sin...GOD LOVES US ALL, thou I am not Gay myself, I am a hedrosexual. I still believe in certain rights, including the laws with GOD, Love has no obsiticals, and it is the most purest thing in any form. As we are told when we are little,

God Loves all of us, because we are all of his children. To right a new bible, or a new edition with todays values would be great, Thou I am not up to the tast myself....I would want this changed.

No Christian could ever take anything you just said seriously. Somehow I highly doubt God would want you re-writing the Bible to conveniently fit your views.

If I could change one thing, it would be peoples views on abortion. I think you can guess where I stand on that.

you are 100% right, what I am appling is that some things in our religions need to be updated......not just the grammer...and putting it into American English...but some of the values....remember that most religions started around 2000 years ago, with Jeudism starting 3-4thousand years ago...if i am not mistaken......we just need a refresh.

On abortion, I believe that if it is anything after the first 2months, not even first term which is 3 months, it should be illegal. Anything before that should be okay in cases of Rape and incest...but at the same time, Women should have the right to choose.

Actually you are incorrect...The belief of Christianity in general is that the Bible was written by "men" as they were "inspired" by God himself. So although the Bible was not written by the hand of God per say....God spoke through these men and directed them in what they wrote. The Bible even clearly states that the scriptures where written by holy men as they were moved by God...

I believe no abortion should be allowed at any time other than in cases of rape and when the mothers life is in danger. I think if a woman is drug into an alley and raped by some dirtbag, and carrying that baby is going to mentally destroy her, then we should consider an abortion, very very early. The best scenario would be the morning after pill, but if that fails, then a very early abortion. I hate abortion, I think its extremely evil. But I dont have the heart to force a woman to suffer to save the baby when it was none of her fault at all that she got pregnant. However, any woman that puts herself in the position to get pregnant should have to accept the responsibility when it happens. Using abortion as a convenient way to sleep around with no consequences is awful and wrong. If you dont want that baby, give it up for adoption. Its all about taking personal responsibility for your actions. And sometimes I get annoyed at liberals (not you Bobby), because its seems they never want to do this. Everything is a handout, everything is taking the easy way out even if its the wrong moral move, etc. Its like people on welfare. I know some people that do nothing but live on welfare. Theyre perfectly capable of working, but they dont. They use thier food stamps and their welfare money and their happy. I know some people REALLY need it, but a lot of them dont, and here we are encouraging them to be lazy. We all need personal responsibility? You know?

Ahh...the question for all the ages....Where is God? Who is God?....Is there a God?....These are questions I ponder alot....I just wonder....If God were to come visit me for a day...What would we do?....Would he give me tips on my baseball mogul teams?....Perhaps we'd check out a Colts game?...Maybe he'd share the secret to getting along with my wife? :D ....I do know that God is a spirit....and I have no idea what the spirit realm is like because I've never been there...If you subscribe to the Christian religion then you will know that Jesus was God in "human form"....Unfortunately I was not alive when Jesus walked the earth...so now all we have to go by is faith...And let me tell you....faith is a hard thing for me...It seems to me, at least in my mind, that there are so many questions surrounding the concept of "God"...and very little answers.

There is one analogy in the Bible though that sort of explains God...It talks about God being a spirit...and we cannot see spirits...but I do believe we can feel their presence. Same thing with the wind....You cannot see the wind, nor can you tell from where it comes...but you KNOW it's there because you can feel it's presence.

On a side note...I seen a tee-shirt the other day....It asked God the question "Why do you allow so much violence and trouble in our schools today?"....God replies "I am not allowed in your schools anymore"...Definitely a point to ponder.

To quote most liberals--"You can't legislate morality"....That's the stupidest thing I have ever heard...EVERY law we have is based on some kind of moral value. And that's a FACT!

I have heard of something like this...let me quote from the Bible where this theory comes from.

This is a link to a passage in Genesis
The Nephilim (http://www.mystae.com/restricted/streams/scripts/nephilim.html)

Basically it says in a nut shell that the fallen angels (or "Sons of God") mated with women on the earth to reproduce. Chapter 6 verse 4 says that in these times there were "giants" in the earth and these men became mighty men of reknown. The theory is basically that this produced some kind of super-human with superior knowledge (as angels would have) And this is basically how Satan corrupted the earth so quickly with sin. Verse 5 says how God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. Verse 6 states that it repented God that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him in his heart. This is where the story of Noah comes in were God decides to destroy the earth and finds only 1 righteous man on the earth "Noah"...and if you're familiar with the story of Noah you know how it goes from there.

BTW..."What if God were one of us?...Just a slob like one of us...Just a stranger on a bus...trying to make his way home....:D

It's kinda cool to think of God like that...That he could just be a regular Joe like most of us...You know...just has a regular job...a nice family...friends...hobbies...We were created in His image so he must be something like this...wouldn't you think?

Back to the original topic...If I could change one thing...That would be that Adam and Eve did NOT eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil....Then the human race would have remained pure and sinless and would never had to face death, disease, war etc...
