I think that you should seriously consider using some type of picture for rookies. It wouldn't be that difficult to simply take some of the pictures you have now and just alter and blur them all, so that they can represent other players. It's less fun to play in 2010 with 90% shadows than some type of representation of the player. I dont' know how easy this is to program, so i won't claim the change would be easy, just that I'm sure it would make future playability more fun, ultimatly increasing the long-term activity of leagues.

Just a thought from a diamondbacks fan who just found out Wells screwed us...

When we pay to play, we might also be able to send a picture to be included in the database. I think I would make a nice-looking starting pitcher.

Hey sunzfan, if you were paid 7 times more with the yankees, you would also join them

If i'm a recovering boozer who wants a ring and realizes that i may get some more cash with the yanks but it's all incentive based anyways and i had the chance to be the third piece of one of the most dominating staffs ever along with some class for not busting out while waiting for a physical and breaking a deal i think i'd pass on the yanks.

its not like he would be as dominant as the big 2 whom, because of my hate for them, their names i will not mention

This guy just doesn't have it anymore. Time for him to hang up the cleats.

It's time to step down and give the young guys a chance.

It's time to leave the past in the past and cut Wells now.

Understand?

He's a waste of money. AZ is better off.

In nearly every statistical catagory imaginable Johnson and Schilling outperformed even the greatest combos (Koufax and Drysdale, etc.), so I guess rather than neccassarily having the most dominating "staffs" ever (many in atlanta may argue that fact) I rather meant combinations. Wells, Johnson, and Schilling is pretty scary no matter how you look at it (just ask St. Louis, Atlanta and the Yanks...)

No one's going to argue the point that Arizona won it all on the bat of it's 3, 4, 5 hitters (which varied quite often).

One would be blind not to admit the pitching display last season was not only one of the most dominating, but will also be one of the most historically remembered...

I agree that Johnson & Schilling had great years, and they are certainly one of the best combos ever for a single season, but there have been better pitching staffs (I know Baltimore had four 20 game winners around 30 years ago), that's why I was a little puzzled by the post.

Definitely true, however, you must remember that back then, 4 man rotations were used, AND wins do not matter, era is much more important. 2 20 game winners with below 3 eras in 2001 is more impressive than 4 20 game winners with higher eras with their lineups dominating the opposition.

When you say this I am assuming that you mean "fat man" David Wells I hope his back goes out during spring training becasue all he plays for is the money so he can get more Yankees stuff of ebay which probly isnt real.

I am a toronto fan and feel that trading him was a good move because it is reported that he was a distration inthe clubhouse.

I must say, the year he won it with the Yanks, he was great and was a major reason for them winning the World Series.

Even if Sirotka comes back after the all-star break, the Jays still got the better of that deal. Chicago made a huge mistake.

I agree with misterblond i am a long time blue jays fan and think that they will challenge the yankees 2 years or less from now.

We will be adding fictional player photos to the online game in the next few weeks. They certainly aren't as nice as the photos of the real players, but we listened to this thread...

There is a related poll (http://forum.sportsmogul.com/showthread.php3?s=&threadid=13073) on the subject of photos for future rookies.
