I'm sure this is posted somewhere in the past but I thought I'd start a new thread. How badly can injuries effect a player's performance? This year I fell in debt so had no medical and now had two injuries where long term effects were forseen. The one was Jose Rosado who went 15-6 with a 3.26 era the year before and I traded him away, but now I have Randy Johnson with this (it was a stress hip fracture, out only 9 days). How will this effect him? Do rating levels take a hit with injuries or only performance? His ratings are still extremely impressive. What kind of effects happen with injuries with long terms?

It's a secret. Seriously, only Clay knows.

From my experience, I have seen pitchers go down with rotator cuff injuries, and suddenly have their ERA's skyrocket from 3.25 to 5.25 when they return.

OK thanks, I'll hang onto Johnson since he had such a short injury of 9 days. Rosado was 140 I think with a rotator cuff injury so that's probably alright. Thanks!
