I wanna hear what your best season for a single player has been. (No edited players).

Mine I'm pretty sure came from my shortstop in the game I'm doing right now, he hit .329 w/58 homers, 166 RBI for the triple crown, all the while fielding .990 with a 5.72 RF for the gold glove.

Mine would probably be Ward Richards (http://forum.sportsmogul.com/attachment.php?s=&postid=177240) in 2018.

If you owned baseball mogul 2003 copy the pictures folder from the baseball mogul 2003 folder into the baseball mogul 2005 folder and you'll have pictures. If you don't own baseball mogul 2003, then you can get the pictures at Baseball Sim Central.

Solid reliever for me for a lot of years. He won the Cy Young in 2010 and I think should have won it in 2012 as well. Those were his best seasons. I thought he was done in 2020 after that horrible season, but he came back and pitched for a few more years. 9 World Series Rings and retired the leader in Car. Saves.

I got that beat. Look what Bo Jackson did in the minors? Think he deserved a call-up?

Definitely a bug. By the way, a lot of players could do that well in 500 games in the minors.

he's retired now but I had a player win rookie of the year. He batted .390 with 18 HR and 80 RBI. The next year, his contact went to a 25. He was 0-39 and I cut him.

Sounds like the Bob Hamelin syndrome.

A-rod is the best player in the game.I've seen him with over 4000 career hits that's about the best you can do.He'll crack the 200 rbi plateau a few times.

To take screenshots you can hit print screen then paste it into paint or any other program you like and save it. I think the game has an option in tools that says save screenshot too.

McGwire had two huge years for me in '87 and '88....I found '88 to be the year of the homer....much like '87 was in real life. Insane numbers that year all around the league.

FYI, BB2K6 has a feature where you just choose "Save Screenshot" from the tools menu and it automatically creates a .jpg file.

Started running the 1985 Padres in Mogul mode, and just finished the 2002 season. While Barry Bonds has yet to top 500 HR, Junior Griffey stayed healthy and MAN, what a career.

At the age of 33 (easily 5-10 more years to go) he has 814 career HR (including 4 seasons of 77-79 HR) and 2 season with over 200 RBI (see attached JPEG).

Note to Clay: I tried the "save screenshot" feature with Griffey's stats open (like in the attached), but it only gave me what was behind Griffey, like that window was not open)

This guy wasn't exactly the best player in the whole wide world, but this guy got it done for me. What's shocking is that he maintained a low ERA while having literally NO strikeouts, NO power, and pitching in COORS FIELD! Not to mention, he was 43 years old and still playing!!

DisgruntledElf

Cole Hamels. He pitched ridiculously well last season. Check out his first two years and compare his ERA to his W-L record for an idea of just how terrible our hitting was.

Pick a season any season...

He won the Cy Young in 2010, 2013, 2018, 2019

And he probably should have won in 2008 and 2015

I've been playing as Colorado starting in '05 and I just finished 2016. I've had the Batting title holder on my team (divided between 3 or 4 guys) for almost the whole time i've been playing. The home run leader too.

jetsfan: Yes, Hamels is ridiculous. :) Everyone needs to trade for him and discover the magical player that he is in BBM.

BubbaDrew: SF is right, I believe. It says .bmp are allowed as attachments, but in my experience it never posts, so I'd just resave it as a .jpg and upload it. I had the same problem at first.

Well I've been doing some historical replays in 2k6, and usually I like to take Paul Molitor as my 2B. He has it all including power, speed, defense and hitting, but in my latest career... WOW!

Thank god he is a year away from arbitration!

I just started a game with the brewers. This is after the 2nd season, i got last my first season cause well...the brewers suck. This guy was my first pick, even though i didnt really need a pitcher, you kinda have to take the best available if you are number 1...and that is always a pitcher. So here he is...rookie of the year, cy young, strikeout leader, era leader, win leader...yeah about any pitching category there is he lead it his first season...out of high school.

Oh and i also won the World Series this season after being worst team last year, i think i got lucky cause the season before i traded a bunch for young pitchers who developed fast and seemed to work well, my offense wasnt very good, but my pitchers rocked enough to win it all.

In general I've found that most good starting pitchers can be made ready by 20 or 21 in BM. I haven't much incentive to let players stay int he minors for very long...

Still, never seen a high school graduate THAT impressive! Closest I'd seen might be Mario Soto, but he had 2 years in the minors before having a stellar rookie year.

How did he only get 99% of the vote for HOF??? Those are some impressive stats, i hope my guy finishes like that. He missed the first month of my last season but still lead the league in era and won the cy young.

100% seems very, very hard to get. 99% is one of the best I've seen for a player who isn't in the HoF when you start. I mean, Bonds and Clemens have never gotten 100% in a game I've done yet.
The only time I've ever had 100% is a guy who played for 26 years and won 450 games, with 9,000 career strikeouts and 12 Cy Youngs, so I'm not sure if you have to put up absolutely ridiculous statistics to get 100%. Of course, this was BBM.....2k3 I believe, and things have changed in the HoF voting from what I can tell.

Well, I can't post pictures... But i took the cubs and played from 1946-2005(31 WS appearances, 15 Series wins)... And here are some tops from my team.

MVP Awards: Duke Snider, 8(He won 3 with the yankees... But C'mon. 8 Is Insanely good! Finished with 3003 hits and 365 HR)

HR: Ernie Banks, 576(5 MVP, 3001 Hits. 7 GG. He owned.)

K's: Sandy Koufax, 5673(322-216 Career. 0 CY, 4 ASG)

All Star Games: Harmon Killebrew(12), Ron Santo(14)(Both had A ton, Had to include both).

Wins: Gaylord Perry, 409. 3 CY. Don Drysdale 477 Wins, 2 CY and 2 MVP. Oddly enough, none of the MVP were in a season when he won CY.Pitched 16/25 Seasons with cubs.

Best Pitcher Season Overall: Dennis Martinez, 1984. 27-0, 1.73 ERA, .183 OBA. Won CY and MVP.

and Wow, Honorable mention(Only pitched 9 out of 26 seasons with cubs, but ****.) Mel Stottlemyer 16 CONSECUTIVE Gold Gloves, 5 CY, 445 Wins.

And Finally, best season ever on MY team by a hitter:

Roberto Alomar, 1997. .361, 46 HR, 157 RBI. 240 Hits. 177 Runs. A Gold Glove, and 24 SB. Best all around season i've ever seen.

And a likely to break Ruth's Career HR Record(Hasn't been broken yet)... Is Sammy Sosa, Sitting at 608 HR at age 36. Still 94 Contact and 93 Power, Barring injuries, he could get the 106 HR by the time he retires.

There you go. My Best seasons/Careers ever. All of the retired players in this list are in the Hall of Fame.

Well, I just finished 2006 with the Atlanta Braves...and over in St. Louis Jim Edmonds just hit SIXTY-SEVEN homers .

I thought that was huge. I figured he'd hit 40 at best.

Also interesting was Willy Mo Pena winning the NL batting title for my Braves (.323) and Tim Hudson going 22-5. Although now it's gonna cost me a fortune to re-sign both :(

This is the best player I've ever had, this guy was the man for my team. Im pretty sure that part of the reason he won so many games was that I was playing on Fan difficulty in a pitchers park and he allways had good run support. He never suffered major injuries until the last few years and even then it was only for a few games.

502 wins isn't too shabby! That beats my all-time best. :(
Though the other numbers are pretty much even. Except my 450-game winner had a.....4.11 career ERA. So yeah, not bad for a pitcher drafted in the fourth round! Sheesh, I'd like to know how that guy slipped so low.
