My league has been reset twice now. What gives? Kinda hard to play if the comish keeps resetting without telling anyone. Sheesh.

Unfortunately, we do not have any control over what is happening.

What is your league called? What team do you have? We will look into this matter and try to speak to the commissioner.

In the meantime, I would recommend you join another league that has more users and a respected commish, where you are not likely to have problems.

It has happened twice in two different leagues (they were not full leagues btw). I don't remember their names unfortunately. I will join yet another league and see what happens. How does one become a commisioner and what are the duties of such? I'd be interested in becoming one and would be reliable. Let me know.

Commissioner jobs go to the "higher bidder." i.e. people who have Silver or Gold accounts have this possibility; Bronze accounts do not. The more you pay, the more access you have to power.

Hamricb has it right.

I you want to create a league of your own, you have to have a Silver or Gold account. At these subscription levels you get the option to create a new league on your 'My Account' page.

We restrict it to the higher level accounts because of the greater operational costs of private leagues -- the hard disk storage and processor time involved in running the leagues.

I'm sorry your commissioners have been resetting your leagues. We are exploring ways to allow leagues to run more smoothly if a commissioner wants to retire it, such as allowing him to turn it over to another commissioner.

Thanks for your support,
James Grove

You really need to find a way to switch the commish position once the commissioner no longer checks in at all. It really stinks to be in a good league that is held hostage by a commissioner that has lost interest/disappeared. Some sort of 3 strikes policy - if you email the commish 3 times and they don't respond (without having posted that they're going to be gone) they're rremoved and the league is either made public or is given to another member. Since AWOL commish's don't go unnoticed there will probably be a discussion underway in the forum already about the issue. Just a thought.

Skydog,
We are working on methods to avoid this. Ideas include a way for the league to be released into the public domain, or a way for the league to be duplicated where someone else can take the commish's job.

if you want security in what some call the "most active" league, join one of the 3 openings in "Baseball Mogulers"

I guarantee no problems!!
