I made it to the playoffs with a small market team.
Very small.
I averaged only 17K fans all season, and according to my "accountants", I received an average ticket revenue of 2.09 points per game.
I had one playoff game at home in the first round, and just over 34K fans showed up.
Why does my "accountant" tell me that my revenue for the last home game was only 1.86 points ?
Does it not include playoff games, or is there something I'm missing ?
I was really counting on the playoffs to help my bank account, but it seems to have done diddly...

Hi, Rambeast -
I'm sorry to disappoint you, but currently there is no revenue payoff for making it to the playoffs.
We did this in response to some research that said that the playoff revenue went to the league general pool.
But we are planning to change this in the future, because we have since learned that only the revenue from the first 3 or 4 games of each series goes to the general pool, with the extra game revenue going to the teams playing.
So a 5-game series that ends 3-0 would not give any extra revenue to the two teams, nor would a 7-game series that ends in 4 games.
For the time being, however, I'm afraid you will have to make due with your regular season revenues.
Thanks for playing,
James Grove

If the number of people in the stands doubles, why doesn't the cash coming in ? I'm not asking that they buy more "concessions" (like in the original BBM), just that if the crowd doubles, the cash from the gate should as well...
Or are you telling me that in the playoffs, ALL gate cash is evenly spread ?
Even if that is the case, does that mean that there were FEWER fans at the playoff games in the Banana League?
Even if I "have to put up with regular season revenues", why is it LESS than what my regular season average was ??????

I took a peek at the teams that made the playoffs in the Banana League...
The teams that were "Big Market" had an increase in ticket revenue. Not a lot, but it was there.
Thier % increase in ticket sales was very small, but they all made MORE "points" than thier season average.
The *SMALL* market teams (Oak & Min), even though thier ticket sales increased by MUCH greater percentages (Double in OAK's case), actually made LESS than thier "average" points per game...
That is a **********SERIOUS*********** problem with the game logic, and should be addressed before another team gets screwed next season. The game ALREADY leans towards the big market teams, I don't see why in **** the playoff payoff should do it as well....

I'm pretty sure those ticket sales (and the points produced) you see reflected from those big market teams are the result of their FINAL regular season game, and not a playoff game. I'm pretty sure that's how it works.

That was part of my original query, and after the ALCS, I saw it hadn't changed....
