Hello all, I am currently testing BBM2K6 and i would like to report to you all what i think of the game and what i like and dislike. I am bringing this here so that everyone can get a say in what last minute things they would like to see in 2k6.
Highlights
Contract negotiations and arbitration are very good. The player comes in with their offer, you come back with your offer. No trade clause can be avoided by throwing more cash at the deal. Player options and team options are also available and work great.
New Skins and Graphics much improve the game aesthtically
AAA, AA, A, R, DL give the user all the depth of the organization
All time leaderboard
Possibly an even faster sim speed on some computers, game runs very smoothly and quickly
Trades seem to be more even, if your dumping a good player you can usually get back some good value
Lowlights
No 40 Man roster, often high priced players end up in AA, A after a few seasons on computer teams
No renogtiation. If you want to renegotiate you must wait until their free agent year.
No waivers, designated for assignment, september callups, 10/5 rights hinders games reality compared to real life
Player personalities are there, but are nothing more then decoration. They really don't become clubhouse cancers or team leaders that add or subtract from teams.
My Suggestions
To make this game even more amazing then it currently is, please go all the way with the rosters and contracts. Give us the 40 man 25 man rosters and have options, waivers, 10/5 rights to make it more like real life
Allow renegotation of contracts at any time.
Make player personalites mean something. If they don't like their situation have a pop up at some point and have them demand a trade. If they are a clubhouse cancer, let that reflect on the team, if they are a good person let that show
Thank you for reading these suggestions, please leave your own so we can make this game the best possible

Not a beta tester :( but from the screen shots it looks like it's going to be awesome! However, I am assuming though that a draft pick compensation for losing top free agents isn't going to happen in this version since no one has mentioned it. I hope Clay can find a way to fit that into BBM2k7.

ugh, can't believe this problem still exists, it's just disgusting how they just won't fix this despite my constant haggering. I absolutely hate this cause for anything else, it's the one thing that absolutely ruins the game.
Jeter missing the Hall because he spent 10 years in the minors the last time I was playing 05, this would not happen in real life

The biggest annoyance I've found so far that I haven't read begin addressed on the beta forums is the number of players/slots that have a (MLB) on them and basically they are minor leaguers but they don't play....I don't get it...anyone else noticing this and knows what to do to fix it?

to fix the MLB thing you have to hit autosort. i haven't figured out another way of doign it but i would imagine it's supposed to be an indicator of new players or something...

Seriously, I don't see how this could've taken so long. I mean, in terms of programming, something simple as boolean statements to ensure that the club doesn't send guys to the minors and try to trade them or release them instead wouldn't have been too hard to implement. But at least he's getting around to that.
Just in case you guys or he's interested, I was thinking a simple fix such as
if player has X years of major serivce don't send him down unless no team wants him for trade (even with some money exchanging hands) and the team saves money by not releasing him flat out.
But even putting guys on the bench is pretty bad. Rich teams may sign stud players, but even the Yankees in real life wouldn't sign Nomar and use Jeter as utility infielder.

I'm a beta tester and one major inprovement in my opinion is the rosters. Althrough they aren't the full 40 man rosters, there are many more rookies and prospects that earliar versions of baseball mogul never had.

I think that the alltime leaderboard was implemented in 2k5 as planned so that 2k6 would even be better....I thought that 2k5 was a clean up version of 2k4...almost like the final patch for 2k4.
2k6 is great and happy that it is this improved...the best part is the BMO will upgrade soon...
One thing that I would have loved to see is the trading block that is in BMO implemented in 2k6. I that is the feature that I have longed for...

A trading block, yes
Just Kidding :D
But I do agree with you, when you say some sort of Waiver/Trading Block type of thing. This will definitely have to be in a patch, and if no luck there, theres always next year. Another feature i'm dying to see is more editable features. I'm a freak when it comes to everything being right. This means heights, weights, colleges, maybe even editable personalities. And having them react on there personalities to a point maybe. Then if we could just get a few more things I can tinker around with, like more photos (like stadium pictures) and this game would be complete for me
