i understand the basic A-F ratings that players get, but i had a pitcher that had a C rating for endurance. I began using him from the bullpen. after only a few games, his endurance rating went from C to just --. What exactly does -- mean? Is that the same as F? How could a pitcher go from a C to an F in only a few games?

-- is the same as F. Check your scouting rank. If it is very low, your scouts will not be very accurate when grading players, and their rankings can change very severely between simulations. Generally, any pitcher with endurance lower than B- should be used as a reliever, as they probably will only get 4-5 innings as a starter.
