View Full Version : 2K6 Roster - Need some help

Okay here is the roster... now a few things first and foremost...
credit goes to the original one which was a Scorey one from a few years back and some players added in came from live's universe.
I've yet to add in 190 more so teams like the Cubs are understocked compared to the others I know...
There are two expansion teams ( Portland and Montreal ) which are in the AL and I use for shifting players... I've left them in at present until I see how many FA and Retired there are so as to minimize the auto deletions...
What I need help with is anyone noting players should be moved or have retired... let me know.
Further salaries and contracts have proven a real headache and I know I am not going to get them anywhere near right... anyone wanting to lemme know this as well...

Been doing some work and updating especially with the recent moves up to the 28th as posted on MLB.com.... still working to tweak the rosters.
Added in all the minor names, ammended the one expansion fantasy team to Montreal. Still a work in progress but more complete.

Rosters look great but there aren't any stats for previous years. And when I load it it says the year is 2003.

rolls... tells you how far back the original rosters were from... I should update the year and will try to but not sure I can... as for the past years stats that was something in there always from adding in a ton of players etc... a lot of vets that weren't in that showed up during the year even... haven't had time or inkling to go and try to even toss them all back in but might well try to get around to it!

When you save the roster uncompress it and it should leave the stats for previous years in the scounting report.

I was looking through the career stats and it doesn't include the stats from 2004, this is because you converted this roster from last years version of baseball mogul. If you uncompress it and save it through baseball mogul 2005 then reload it into baseball mogul 2006 than you will have all the stats through 2003. I don't know how to inport stats so i can't think of a way to inport the 2004 stats. I will work on the rosters and see if I can use your roster update but add all the stats.

rols thanks and no probs if you wanna do that... still tweaking it as live is going over them and giving some input as far as the older players moving etc.... so updating as I go... fixed the start year too to 2005 in the league editor which worked so I'll try the uncompressed trick and see what happens....:D
Thanks for that too

The problem with all this too would be that you'd have to change ALL the ages from what they were in '03 to '05

Yeah but that at least is an easy editor add 2 years fix really... that I can do in no time flat!!*L*
tried uncompressing and didn't work at all regarding the stats thing... probably once compressed it was done for there but....
This will tide everyone over anyways till Scorey's is out as is so...:D

Updated the rosters with recent transactions and even redid the DL'd players using tsn listing of injured and days out...

So does this have salaries and ages corrected? Along with the updated states up to '05?

jstern I won't have the stats, sorry but to sit there and add in all the years just would take way too long.
As for salaries I've done some but trouble is finding them all, so most probably aren't quite up to date either.
The ages thing I will be working on hopefully this week, and is on the to do list as that is easy enough to tweak and do relatively quickly.

Good rosters... little problems: wrong names (robert madritsch instead of bobby madritsch) and some wrong ages, beside that great rosters.

rolls thanks and I plan on working on the ages etc and trying to update the salaries as well as best I can.... as for Robert/Bobby I've seen it one way then a player shortens ammends it... like Richard to Rich... complete pain in the butt... which is he going by now and I can ammend it... think he's on KC no?!:p

Bobby's on the mariners... the names are hard when a player shortens it but i've always heard the announcers call him bobby.

I love Madritsch. I can't spell OR pronounce his name, but I think he'll win 15 games this year. Everyone thinks I'm crazy, but man is he a gamer. He's gonna surprise some people and probably have his name misspelled almost as often as Doug Mientkiceiwicz.

Oh right forgot he moved... was with KC at one point is why that stuck.... and will change it to Bobby!
As is am almost done one whole team today... woohooo... going through each team and getting the ages and dob's corrected and some of the ratings too.... I still will have to go back through and try and see about years played etc as I know a few are in as rookies and they aren't... will also look and add in the signed prospects that aren't in...
In other words this is gonna take some time.... after that I will hit the salaries but if I see some that don't make sense... like 5 year vets making 300,000 like a rookie I'll ammend it as a guesstimate to at least make it somewhat better too.

Anaheim is now finished off.... added 30 of their signed prospects as well to the team.
46 players and and 44 pitchers now for Anaheim... all with proper dob and ages...
so at this rate... perhaps 2 per day... maybe 3 or 4 if work is slow... so a week or so this will be ready in time for another 2 days worth of updates to take care of...:p

Okay well updated the rosters best I could  ... salaries and contract lengths have not been touched at all so..... also due to the time of season there is a **** load of free agents and as such had to make a few fa teams in order to not flood the FA list and delete all the players... so there is Portland Montreal Empty FA and FATeam2 .....
note: original roster was a Scorey 2002 I think so kudos to him as ever... :p
Anyone wanna go update the salaries and contracts go for it... and the ages will be off by a year.. forgot to mention that but hey...
Updated as of today with the recent FA moves again
