I'm beginning to wonder if I need to pick a New York team or one from the Western divisions in order to get anything better than second..

I'm in 1985 after starting in 1977.. Toronto Blue Jays.. Now I expected to be horrible the first little while.. And I was. But now I've got a winning baseball team except for the fact that the Yankees usually pull ahead to a 20 game lead by July..

Could we get some way of having the Yankees and Mets come down to earth for a bit???

The only non-New York team I had win a World Series was Seattle...

It's kind of annoying knowing that you can't compete...

Try droping the Bronx yearly income down a grand or so. They won't have near as much money. This has helped level the playing field quite a bit. I've played 7 years with the Yanks yearly income a grand lower and it seems to keep their revenue down as they've been in the hole for the 2nd year in a row now.

So how would I do that?

Go to League-options and put commissioner mode on. Then go to League-city editor and change the per capita income.

I put both mey work teams in the same divsion that one always goes to the playoff but just one of the two that way other teams have a shot(though they still get beat in the playoffs)

You could try lowering the fan base and fan loyalty of all the large market teams in the league editor.

if it makes you feel any better. I have guided the Sox to 5 straight titles...all against the Mets in the WS
