Notice the number of quality starts does not match with the statistics given in the leaders section. I'm guessing the game defines a quality start as something besides 6 IP with 3 or less ER, perhaps 5 IP with 3 or less?

Colorado won in 23 of Wells starts

Now on the 16 wins vs 17 wins, take a look at colorados box score for august 15 2005, Wells wins that game and improves his record to 12-0. His next game is august 21, he gets a no decision, next start is the 26th, another no decision, next start is the 31st: no decision, next start sept 5:no decision. Next start sept 11, he gets the win, but now his record is 14-0? Maybe he pitched in relief somewhere and got the win? Or a phantom bug gave him an extra win.

Kip Wells has 21 quality starts by my count, much better than the previous number of 12, as such I believe he is the right choice for Cy young. Now either there is a bug in recording quality starts or they have some really really weird formula for what a quality start is.

If someone wants to relay these possible bugs to clay and the developers via the bugs board be my guest

Just kinda wondering what the actual dictation of a QS is...

It's been a problem since BBM2k. I've pretty much just ignored the QS rankings since then.

I've seen guys with a quality start rating of 200%. Something is definitely wrong with the way it's calculated.
