Looking through these posts there are a lot of complaints and justly so. If you think about it though where else can you get a game like this. I mean the games creator actively reads our complaints and fixes what can be fixed. I have been playing this since Microsoft Baseball 2001 and when I found out that it was (With Sports Mogul Technology) as the box or something else proclaimed I went out and got the first mogul I could find (2002). It is amazingly accurate if you follow real baseball you'll often see the players develop very closely to the games prediction. And you can customize it with downloads from here and places like simcentral. I yearly get burned and dissapointed with garbage like hh and mvp that aint as advertised and is rarely fixed satisfactorily. I buy mogul every year and will continue to because there are always some new and USEFUL additions not just visuals and effects. So thanks for in my opinion the best and greatest baseball game ever!

P.S. All this for JUST 20 bucks? where else can you get a deal like that on a new game every year.:)

i have to agree I believe that baseball mogul is the greatest and most satisfying game out there.

I played the **** out of BBM2k3, that game never got old. I checked out the demos for the next couple versions but wasnt impressed enough to buy them, but wow this game is head and shoulders above BBM2K3 I absolutly love this new version.

You can't really compare BBMogul to a graphical game like MVP... but if you want to.. I'd take MVP 2005 anyday over bbmogul. I don't think I've played as much of a baseball game as I have MVP this year. Heck, it's even better than HH 2002 was for me.

Maybe with some patches bbmogul will be the fun game I've expected it to be, but until then........

You can't compare MVP to BBM because they are two completely different game styles. MVP is a game where you actually play the games. BBM you are ONLY the General Manager. In no way can you fairly compare the two.

I think that's what the first line in my post says.

And then you went right ahead and compared them. How peculiar.

No, this is peculiar:

This year's MVP is NOT garbage and if he's bought Mogul every year, he'd know the last 3-4 years have been terrible.

..but it's now version 2005 and it has much potential.

In comparison to every other game with mogul like options for play I think that this is the best. (A) Playability- Nearly endless replay value (B) Very easy to learn (C) No radical control changes, it basically functions very similarly every year, therefore I don't have to waste hours figuring out where the buttons for things have been moved to. And (4) I HAVE bought it every year and HAVE been satisfied. If you have not been happy then why are you buying every year? p.s.When I bought mvp 04 all that was available in my area was dial up, downloading thier patches was nearly impossible the first patch was huge and unreasonable as I could not even play the game on my NEW system (not a cheapo) without it. And if you want my copy of M.V.P. 2004 you can have it for the cost of a s.a.s.e. Barely used, like new condition. and I also bought HH for three years hoping for the best and while it was promising it was frustrating to have such a buggy product for that price.

And furthermore mizz at $20 it's 20 to 30 bucks less than the others even if you dont buy online. I'm not looking forward to laying out up to 50 bucks for a game that doesn't support my equipment and fights with other things in my computer.

I haven't bought a mogul product since 2k. I always wait for reviews from people I trust before buying a game.

I'm talking about MVP for the Xbox - although the PC version is much more customizeable. I would agree that MVP 2004 was not that fun.. but ootp6 has been quite fun.

There is quite a following of MVP on the PC over at mvpmods.com you would be surprised at how many add-ons people have for that game. MVP 2005 is very well done and has surpassed High Heat 2002 for my favorite baseball graphical game of all time.

I bought it for $29.99 - $10 more dollars than BBMogul and I have played it 100x more than I have of bbmogul. I will say I have been playing since 8.12 came out and I'm having fun - so..... we'll see.

Like I've said before, arguing these two games is a moot point, both are VERY different... but as far as text sims go, the other options out there - Puresim and OOTP - both are quite good and well written.

Although I did love the throwback unis and historical players in mvp when it was working right. The old parks in hh were pretty cool also when it wasn't crashing my system like an Ace Frehley piloted DeLorean.:D

It's been a fun season with MVP and my Cardinals.

have been playing this game for years, and i know several of us say this every year, but this is the best version of BM ever. and this year, it's truer than ever. ten times better than last year's, which was fantastic. yes, there are problems. hopefully patches will continue to address them. but warts and all, it's fantastic. thank you, Clay. thank you thank you thank you.
