A recent patch (8.09 I think) should have fixed the problem with medicore SS's winning awards.

That issue's been around forever and as far as I know has been fixed as Clay said.

I still get not so great ROY'S also undeserving MVP'S occasionally. The MVP's seem to come from bad teams when they are not really the most outstanding in baseball. It may just be my own personal opinion of the stats.

The patch helps out alot compared to the earlier games, but I still see 28 or 29 year old guy that hit .230 with 15 HR's win it once in awhile.

It's probably because they're shortstops. Put the Awards.ini for SS down to somewhere between 40 and 60.
