Game freezes when I try to edit

Finally bought the game, thinking after a month most problems would be fixed. No matter when I start, I click on edit player and the game goes to that guys teams roster page and freezes.

removed file from computer and re-downloaded. ive tried with the original, later official and latest unofficial patches. the simulator doesnt work and i cant edit anything. which the way i play makes it unplayable. anyone have an answer? besides a refund?

What windows are you using, On my other computer which runed windows 98 i had similiar problems but then I upgraded and so far I haven't had any problems.

windows 98, yep. good call. unfortunately this computer suits my needs and i dont plan on purchasing a new one, or a windows upgrade just so i can play a 20 dollar game that list windows 98 as one of the possible requirements. anyone know a way to fix this or did i just waste my money on a faulty product?

When it "freezes" click on the main window (the one that shows team standings or transactions or finances). It's not actually freezing; what happens is the Player Edit window pops up BEHIND the roster window.

The only way I've found to get around this is to close the window with the player's stats and scouting report, and click on the standings. For some reason, this brings the Player Edit window to the front.

This is a pretty major bug for Windows 98 users that I'd hoped would be fixed by now. That said, the system is 7 years old, when computers that were new six months ago could be called outdated. If this thing can't be fixed, Sportsmogul ought to just give you and other Windows 98 users a refund and stop claiming the game works on 98.

yeah, email clay and ask about a refund. They need to take 98 off the list of OS list.

Thanks Hawkeye. Thats a frustrating sequence to have to do everytime but something I can live with. As long as nothing else happens bc of W98 I'll live but anything else and yea, listing W98 is wrong.
