What is the best player you have ever seen never win a Cy Young or MVP award?

I'd have to say:

Sammy Sosa, RF... Career stats of: .288 Avg, 635 HR, 1869 RBI, 1741 Runs, 2463 Hits, in 17 Seasons, no GG, No ROY, No MVP. Only 3 ASG. 6 50 HR seasons.

Who is yours?

That's bizarre. But indicative of his career, always second fiddle to someone, though still a great player.

Sammy won the NL MVP in '98 with 30 of the 32 votes.

Best example I can think of would be Nolan Ryan

Jeez, I thought it would be obvious... I was talking about in a sim you did, not in real life. Everyone knows Sammy won it in 98.

In BB2K6, Sammy should be credited with the MVP he won in 1998.

Or did you start the sim before 1998?

Well, in real life, the winningest pitcher of all-time never won a Cy Young award........Cy Young. Always a fun trivia question...

This thread sure did die for a long time.

Well, not that long but a lot for this part of the boards.
